Dan Curtis
Dan Curtis joined Thompson, Guildner & Associates, Inc., P.S. in 2023. Dan obtained his Licensed Legal Intern status in May of 2024 through the Washington State Bar Association, which is authorized by Washington Supreme Court’s Admission and Practice Rule 9 that allows him to practice under the supervision of the Managing Partners. Dan attended Lincoln Hill High School in Stanwood, and graduated from Washington State University cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy with minors in Ethics and Spanish. He is currently working full-time for the Firm for his semester-in-practice during his final semester at the University of Idaho College of Law, and will sit for the Universal Bar Exam in September of 2025. Dan previously worked as an environmental compliance officer at an industrial shipyard, and his primary interest is in environmental regulatory law. He works with municipal clients on research related to the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, Shoreline Management Act, and interfacing with the Washington State Department of Ecology. Dan also assists our private and municipal clients with state and federal regulatory compliance, legislative updates, litigation matters, policy document drafting, contract disputes, and other civil work.
Dan’s past volunteer work includes designing a pilot program for community-based learning at Lincoln Hill High School, co-founding a collegiate chapter of the conservation organization Backcountry Hunters and Anglers at WSU, and serving as the Treasurer of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers at U of I. Dan is an avid hunter, bringing his passion for conservation to his work in environmental regulatory law.
